Prachinburi 3/2 Mountain Biking Expedition

A challenging expedition through stunning scenery

Expedition Overview

Prachin Buri is located some 134 kms. from Bangkok. It occupies an area of 11,957 square kilometres. Traces of the ancient town of the Dvaravati period has been found in the region. The forested area to the north of the town forms a part of Khao Yai National Park.

Cycling expeditions challenge teams by hitting the heights of the big climbs but have the pleasure of spectacular descents. A silver cycling expedition is not just about being fit enough to pedal all day. You will learn enhanced riding skills, road safety, cycle maintenance and navigation to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable journey.

A series of relevant coaching sessions will cover key aspects including handling skills, bike mechanics, riding safety and first aid. We will progress from simple trails up to more exciting routes, match you against appropriate trails to test your newly formed skills and abilities in the saddle.

For this expedition we begin in Nakhon Nayok next to the impressive Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam. Our trail will take us east on quite back roads which ‘hand rail’ the Khao Yai National Park. We finish our expedition at the Wild Lodge

Activities within the program

Activities within this program include: Mountain Biking, Camping and Team Building.

NOTE: Some activities are  dependant on weather and may require changes on the day according to site conditions & dynamic Risk Assessment

The adventure groups will all be encouraged to develop a group identity and work together as a team during the program. The groups can be chosen at random or follow class or house structure. We will liaise with teaching staff on this.

Our challenge-by-choice approach enables each student to achieve their own successful adventure in the context of their own aspirations free from peer or instructors pressure. We have found during adventure activities, the greatest achievements are never in terms of the distance leapt or the height climbed and that in all our adventure activities everyone has a role to play.
